Its online store carries over-the-counter products only, and a search for Ozempic, Wegovy or semaglutide returned no products.

Prescription process
- Prescriptions are uploaded as a clear photo or PDF on the Member Portal, or sent through WhatsApp self-service on 086 002 7800. The site states: "Prescription medication can only be dispensed with a valid prescription."
- The FAQ says "It usually takes 5 to 7 working days to process your application and prescription".
- An optional online consultation through partner Docotela "may result in an electronic prescription being sent to Pharmacy Direct". No fee is published.
- The Member Portal asks for medical aid member details; the route for private patients is not detailed on the pages we checked.
Delivery
- Delivery goes "to the address of your choice anywhere in South Africa" and "may take up to 3 working days", Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00.
- Fridge-line medication is delivered "in a special container" with "frozen gel packs"; cold-chain items are not delivered over weekends.
- A delivery fee for prescription medicine is not stated on the pages we checked.
Returns and refunds
- Pharmacy Direct "will not accept the return of any medicine for credit or replacement unless there is a defect in the medicine or its packaging at the time of supply, or if an incorrect medicine has been dispensed."
- Non-medicine items from the online store can be returned within 14 days, unused and in original packaging.

Is Pharmacy Direct registered with the SAPC?
Yes. The SAPC register lists Pharmacy Direct, registration number Y52506, at 23 Kwartsiet Crescent, Zwartkop, Centurion, Gauteng. Its status is Active, with an A grade from its inspection on 5 October 2025. A second Active pharmacy of the same company, Pharmacy Direct Louwlardia (Y59300), also holds an A grade.
Does Pharmacy Direct publish semaglutide prices?
No. When we checked, the online store returned no products for Ozempic, Wegovy or semaglutide, and prescription medicine is handled only through the courier-pharmacy prescription channel. The table on this page shows the SEP and the approximate maximum price for the 11 semaglutide packs with a published SEP; a pharmacy price including the dispensing fee should fall within that range.
How does Pharmacy Direct keep semaglutide cold during delivery?
The FAQ states that "all cold chain or fridge line medication" is delivered "in a special container" packed with frozen gel packs "certified to keep medication at the correct temperature". Cold-chain medication is not delivered over weekends.
