About Semaglutide Scorecard

Semaglutide Scorecard is an independent, non-commercial information site. It compares South African pharmacies that dispense semaglutide on the service they offer, and shows the official single exit price for each pack.

What we do

Semaglutide is a Schedule 4 medicine in South Africa, so it is available only on a valid prescription. The price a pharmacy may charge is regulated: it is based on the single exit price (SEP) set by the manufacturer plus a capped dispensing fee. Because prices are so close, the real differences between pharmacies are in service: delivery, how prescriptions are handled, support and returns.

We check each pharmacy against the same published criteria and give it a score out of 10. Every score can be traced to the scale explained on how we rate pharmacies.

Which pharmacies are included

We include only pharmacies listed as active on the public register of the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). We do not list sellers that supply semaglutide without a prescription.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell medicine, take orders or process prescriptions.
  • We do not give medical advice. Decisions about treatment belong with your doctor and pharmacist.
  • We do not carry advertising, and we have no affiliate relationships. We receive no payment from pharmacies or manufacturers.
